SENIOR SUB CONTRACT MANAGER - OFFSET

Would you like to join a prestigious program in a specialist team focussed on developing and implementing an international strategy to deliver a £multimillion return

As a Senior Sub Contract Manager you will be contributing to establishing the strategy for the specific programme or initiative and have the responsibility to deliver that solution with full awareness of the success criteria.

This role will provide you with the opportunity to work cross function and build on Supply Chain Skills and international experience.

Your main responsibilities as a Senior Sub Contract Manager - Offset will involve:

Supporting the India in-country Procurement team to evolve the US product supply chain within India

Understanding the customer requirement and development of the contract pack to be sent to suppliers at RFI, RFQ, RFP and Contract placement stages including, but not limited to, Commercial and Legal requirements, Technical Data pack, Quality requirements, Statement of Work, Scheduling, Risk Management & Mitigation, Contracting for availability, Incentive Agreements, protection of Intellectual Property Rights and International Trading Requirements (including NDA's, Export Control, ATTs, ITAR)

Managing and signing off sourcing decisions based on business case that support best value and deliver offset

Engaging with Indian Offset Partners (IOP's) working alongside the India supply chain development team with the use of appropriate tools and processes such as, establishing success criteria and dependencies, structured negotiation plans, relationship management tool and Managing Major Subcontracts

Maintaining the forward view of activities and opportunities with Customers and IOP's

Collaborating with Business Unit and Centralised leadership teams, development and implementation of project and business specific Procurement strategies that align with overall business and functional strategies

Ensuring protection of intellectual knowledge, IPR and competitive advantage, as appropriate

Working knowledge of Export Control documentation and legislation requirements

Engaging Continuous Improvement activities with suppliers that add value to the Processes as well as the Contract

Supporting the initial and recurring supplier assessment and evaluation process for all allocated suppliers

Your skills and qualifications:

Good all-round business knowledge and understanding of cross functional business processes and interfaces, particularly around the end to end supply chain process

Experience of basic terms and conditions and ability to recognise the protection provided by implied conditions and warranties

Proven Supply chain leadership and management experience and experience in working in Offset/Industrial Participation

Experience of supply chain risk identification & mitigation activities

Experience using data to assist in management of supplier performance

Understanding of and experience of supporting the development of category strategies

Experience of taking individual responsibility for your role within the negotiation team and support the development of supplier negotiation strategies

Working knowledge of SAP

(MCIPS) Membership of the Chartered Institute of
Purchasing and Supply preferred
