My Client is currently looking for a receptionist in the Croydon area

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Receptionist in the croydon area, this role is to be the first point of contact for members of the public and clients coming into the offices.

The Ideal candidate will have an understanding and caring attitude towards everyone they meet or speak to over the phone and efficiently organising a Funeral Arranger to see someone as quickly as possible. Ensuring the deceased are presented in the manner that a family member would expect and offering support and guidance through the process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Meeting and greeting clients and organising them to see a Funeral Arranger
  • Answering phones and transferring calls to correct party and taking messages where required
  • Ensuring and checking deceased are suitable for viewing and escorting families and friends through to chapels for viewings and services
  • Ensuring reception, chapels and surrounding areas are clear and tidy
  • Arranging internally for urns for cremated remains at client's request
  • Covering for funeral arrangements

Key Skills and Qualifications

  • Excellent telephone manner
  • Sympathetic and understanding approach to all clients
  • Ability to keep records accurately
  • Calm and approachable manner
  • Knowledge or willing to learn Funeral Arranging
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety requirements

This role is paying up to £22,000 depending on experience.
