Reporting into the Finance Director, this is a crucial hire and we are seeking to hire an ambitious candidate with extensive data and mining skills.

Are you a data expert, with the ability to pull data from multiple sources to make informed decisions?

Do you have previous experience in presenting data across multiple projects to offer business improvement?

The role is part of the UK Operations and is based in Surrey for an assignment of approx. twelve months in duration. The Project Accountant will play a key role in helping the business maximising results.

You will oversee developing processes and controls around both internal and external reporting of several revenue streams to include P+L, employee and staff data. Ideally you will be ACCA / CIMA qualified and then have a background of business analysis and process improvement. You will enjoy working with stakeholders across the group while partnering with the senior leadership team. As this role is on an interim basis, only candidates on a maximum of two weeks' notice will be considered.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Support Senior Project Accountant in monthly financial reporting and project forecasting, ensuring data in systems is accurate and complete
  • Preparation of monthly project journals and revenue events
  • Review of overheads & report actuals against forecast
  • Ensure all billings are completed as scheduled each month
  • Ensure the bill & cost rates are accurately maintained and controlled
  • Analysis of project WIP and AR balances
  • Develop processes and methodologies and push for continuous improvement
  • Ad hoc projects/support to Senior Project Accountant

Skills & Attributes

The successful candidate will possess the following skills / attributes:

  • Educated to degree level and a qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) with at least 3 years PQE
  • A confident and high energy individual with a desire to make a difference and offer suggestions for improvement & recommendations.
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Excellent analytical skills and a strong eye for the detail.
  • Consulting and finance modelling project experience
  • Exceptional technical and analytical accounting skills, specifically in the areas or analysis and reporting
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Advanced Excel skills and knowledge of Oracle is preferred
