National Account Manager - Maternity Cover (12 months)

Job Title: National Account Manager - Maternity Cover (12 months)
Salary: £34,000
Start date: May 2019
Hours: 9.00am - 5.00pm (you must be flexible)
Days: Monday to Friday
Location: Woking
Benefits: Include annual car allowance of £5,000, 25 days holiday per year plus bank holidays & car parking
Other information: Occasional travel within UK

I am currently recruiting for a National Account Manager to join a global and leading brand on a maternity cover starting in May 2019

This role will report in to the companies Sales Director and you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the operation of specified National Accounts in order to maximise sales and profitability

Key responsibilities;

  • Meet personal sales targets as established
  • Design annually a business trade plan for each account
  • Develop and implement creative initiative to support sales and to create customers and consumers preference
  • Build and maintain relationships at all account levels to ensure long term success
  • Prepare and deliver sales presentations, contracts and proposals subject to review by the line manager
  • Analyse sales performance and address any issues as they arise
  • Ensure optimum ROI
  • Prepare bi-annual plans on new account opportunities
  • Ensure adherence to all relevant brand guidelines
  • Work closely with other sales team members to achieve more
  • Collaborate with forecasting and planning departments on all aspects of future stock requirements
  • Participate in special projects such as major promotions, new product launches, new marketing inititatives and ensure that all activities are absorbed by customer base

Required experience and skills:

  • Experience working in an FMCG environment
  • Preferably a graduate or business qualification
  • Numerate and analytical skills (Advanced Excel)
  • Financial acumen
  • Strategic & creative thinking
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Great team player
  • Good project management skills
  • Result orientated and solution focused person
  • Self-contained
  • A driving licence is required for this position
