Our Team's mission is to solve intelligence and use it to make the world a better place. In the medium term, this means a lot of iterative blue-sky scientific research. Today, we have hundreds of researchers on staff, including numerous leaders in fields across AI & Machine Learning.
We ultimately want to develop an AGI capable of dealing with a variety of environments. A truly general AGI needs to be able to act on the real world and to learn tasks on real robots. The aim of the Robotics Lab is to endow robots with the ability to learn how to perform complex manipulation and locomotion tasks. At our company, experts in different scientific fields (e.g. quantum chemistry, neuroscience, game theory) collaborate with research scientists and software engineers to solve grand challenges that would enable multiple scientific breakthroughs. The Robotics Lab is a group of pioneering research scientists, research engineers and software and hardware engineers uniquely specialised in Robotics. The Role Robotics is arguably one of the most complete technologies out there, requiring skills ranging from computer science and probability theory to mechanics, electronics and cognitive sciences.
The Robotics Lab is in its early growth within the company. All lab members strive to provide first class support to research activities and proactively collaborate, leveraging their experience and intuition to progress real world research in robotics.
We are looking for an exceptional Lab Engineer to help run the Robotics Lab. The ideal candidate is a person who is unafraid to get his/her hands dirty and has a true passion to make things work seamlessly and efficiently. You will engage and effectively coordinate with a wide stakeholder group within the lab and wider organisation (e.g. Workplace Management, Security), write Technical Documentation (Technical Specifications, Engineering Drawings, Assembly Instructions, Wiring Diagrams etc) and share your findings with the wider lab team and robotics stakeholders.
This position requires real passion for technology and a multi-disciplined approach. You might be contributing to running the most sophisticated agent on our robotics hardware one day and the next you'll be designing or building setups to support another exciting experiment.
