The successful candidate will join the London Credit & IRG Middle Office Trade Support team, made of around 40 headcount. Working on the trading floor, the environment can be very stressful and extremely busy, but also very exciting and dynamic.
It is very important that the candidate is able to create a good working relationship with the team, Front and Back offices, be able to prioritise his work, and show great commitment in his day to day duties.

Key Responsibilities

Swaps & Options

  • Management of flow of new trades and amendments from Front Office systems (STAR, MarkitWire, ) to Back Office system (Murex), manually booking and amending in Murex where necessary.
  • Reconciliation between Front Office systems (STAR, MarkitWire) and Back Office system, checking Present Value are in line.
  • Working with Middle Office P&L, IT and Confirmations teams to reduce operational risk and maintain highest levels of support for each portfolio.
  • Build and maintain good working relationships with other internal clients such as legal, marketers, trading & back offices.
  • Oversee all reconciliations and reports in the area and investigations are completed on a timely basis.
  • Dealing with queries from back-office, marketers and other stakeholders, relating to booking discrepancies.
  • Provide cover for other members of the Trade Support team when necessary, ability to flex between teams depending on daily volume and demand.
  • Management of Options (expiry process and report, sign-off, checking confirmations).
  • Contribute to the implementation of new system functionalities and raise IT requirements for bug fixing or system enhancements when possible.
  • Participate in Transversal projects.

Futures and Future Options

  • Monitor Intra-day trade reconciliations and resolve any issues
  • Investigate any T+1 trade/position breaks and resolve any issues before end of the day
  • Monitor Intra-day trade reconciliations and resolve any issues
  • Process any option expiries in the trading system and provide a link between Front Office and Clearing broker for any manual instructions.
  • Monitor positions leading up to future and option expiry and provide all information to front and back office to ensure all delivery obligations are met.

Skills/Experience Profile

  • Minimum 2:1 degree (preferably economics or mathematics related)
  • 1-2 years experience working in Investment Banking or Asset Management
  • Strong working knowledge of Swaps
  • Positive and dynamic attitude to complying with deadlines and objectives.
  • High degree of interest in products and process issues affecting the department.
  • Effective time management and ability to prioritise workload and escalate issues to management.
  • Have strong interpersonal / communication skills.
