Internal Control & Process Improvement Manager job close to Maidenhead

In this role you would be responsible for maintaining an effective internal control framework. This would also include; any associated documentation, policy deviations, system access control and control monitoring activity. The role coordinates across finance functions to facilitate and effective and timely process. Additionally, this role is responsible for driving continuous improvement in the area of finance processes.

The role;

  • Define, documents and monitors a framework of internal controls across all of my clients finance processes

  • Identify the need for, requests and maintains deviations to my clients corporate finance policies where appropriate.

  • Ensure the finance policies across all UK & Ireland entities have a comprehensive, accurate and up to date suite of finance policies.

  • Act as central coordinator for both internal and external audits ensuring that the audit process runs smoothly and efficiently and that all deadlines are adhered to.

  • Ensure that access within ERP systems is appropriately segregated and role appropriate.

  • Monitor processes around system access to ensure updates for job changes and system role changes are made on a timely basis.

  • Lead in the area of Finance compliance encompassing such requirements as Corporate Criminal Offence, Modern Slavery, Anti-bribery and Corruption and other similar legislation that impacts finance processes.

  • Take ownership of driving all aspects of finance process improvement. Acts as a change agent driving a culture of continuous improvement by constantly challenging existing processes and providing change tools

  • Assist in projects as defined by the Finance Director.

The candidate;

  • Qualified accountant with relevant post-qualified experience specifically including significant internal control related responsibility

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to convey technical accounting and taxation issues in straightforward language to both Financial and non-Financial managers

  • Lean Six Sigma qualification and experience at green-belt level is highly desirable

  • Previous SAP experience required

  • Proven ability to manage projects with minimal supervision

Paying up to £60k plus bonus and benefits.
