Internal Control Analyst

My client is a large company based near Luton looking to recruit an Internal Control Analyst to join their finance team, with an immediate start. With the opportunity for an extension on the initial 6 month contract, you will be responsible for providing accounting internal controls support to the teams along with management information to non-finance functions.

Key responsibilities for this role;

  • Assist with the implementation of a SOX control programme
  • Responsible for gap analysis, process documentation, and the design and implementation of processes to monitor and report on the status of SOX controls and control policies.
  • Tracking the status of actions assigned to the business including evidence and supporting the business to implement within agreed timescales.
  • Designing, testing and implementing a testing program to monitor and report compliance, including feedback to the business and assistance with policy writing.
  • Assisting Group and External Audit where required to understand the control environment and business processes.
  • Share best practice controls guidance with international control teams, and non-finance functions to raise risk and controls awareness within the business.

To be successful in your application for this role it is beneficial to have;

  • Qualified Accountants (ACA, ACCA etc)
  • Demonstrable ability within risk assessment, scoping, planning, and delivery of internal control projects
  • Excellent inter-personal skills with strong influencing skills
  • Proactive, with ability to work independently on concurrent projects
  • Delivering internal control projects to review risk and improve business processes
  • Ability to add value through internal control activities
  • Strong attention to detail
