Market leading Fintech seek a Data Quant Analyst as part of their expanding FX business.

Job purpose
 Research and innovation for product development in order to monetize a unique data set
of FX trades.
 Responsibility for all phases of the analytical / model development process.
 Support and maintenance of data products and analytical models.
 Assist Sales and Communications with technical enquires.
 Communication with clients, internal stakeholders and team members to solve
challenging issues.

Essential Function / major duties and responsibilities of the job
 Identify new ways of leveraging unique data set for internal and external
 Identify new modelling / statistical / data mining approaches that can be applied
 Liaise with customers to understand their strategy and identify analytical support for that
 Maintain existing models and data products
 Develop new models and data products
 Maintain reporting / analytical suites.
 Support other members of Analytics by imparting their own specialist knowledge and
 Mentor more junior staff
 Lead work-streams within Analytics.

Knowledge, skills and abilities / competencies required for successful job performance
 Very strong knowledge and understanding of the FX business, trading technology, market
microstructure and analytics
 Extensive experience in statistical analysis and research of FX high frequency data sets,
knowledge of quantitative trading strategies, impact cost models and performance
metrics for measuring best execution
 Experience in coding in R/Matlab/Python and SQL
 Aptitude for problem solving
 Commercial acumen and ability to sport opportunities for monetizing FX trade data

 Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
 Aptitude for handle several tasks simultaneously
 Ability to effectively communicate with all levels across the organization
 A self-starter with great team skills

Qualifications / certifications
 Essential
o First degree in mathematical/quantitative subject e.g. Maths, Statistics,
Physics, Engineering, Econometrics

 Desirable
o MSc / PhD in a quantitative subject (e.g. Maths, Statistics, Physics,
Engineering, Econometrics)
