The position holder owns the end-to-end on-boarding operational process, working in collaboration with Procurement, Risk and other stakeholder functions to fulfil business requirements in line with policies and procedures.

Key Accountabilities
This role reports to the Head of Finance Operations and manages/performs the set-up, monitoring and maintenance activities, applying controls and ensuring the accuracy of records. The position holder is the subject matter expert on data maintenance and controls associated with on boarding of suppliers
The position responsibilities include;

  • Manage incoming requests to set-up, monitor and maintain supplier master file information in Oracle and Ariba platforms
  • Hands-on data management, including data input and check of supporting records
  • Act as primary contact for business queries
  • Working with Procurement and Risk functions to align process requirements
  • Own, maintain and improve operational process to ensure data controls are applied and data held in core systems is accurate
  • Manage the on-boarding of new suppliers, including; data entry / supplier set-up in core systems, recording of entry and exit from specialist due diligence, controls to ensure compliant bank a/c set-up
  • Perform data reconciliations, reviews and audits to ensure process, controls and data standards are maintained - and data is aligned across core systems
  • Provide ongoing reporting to determine in-flight status of on-boarding or data change activity
  • Provide periodic reporting to demonstrate performance of function
  • Build, maintain and improve effective SLAs for function to support needs of business and Accounts Payable
  • Negotiate, maintain and improve effective SLAs with stakeholders in process to support needs of business and Accounts Payable
  • Monitor and report on SLA status
  • Management of one data executive

The following experience is essential:

  • Background in Finance, Audit, Risk or Compliance with focus on operational controls
  • People management experience
  • Degree educated and 3yrs+ business experience
  • Experience of finance systems use - Oracle and Ariba,
  • Good problem solving and stakeholder communication skills
  • Strong communication skills attention to detail
  • Good Excel and data manipulation skills
