Morgan McKinley's Office Support and Secretarial team are recruiting for a number of Customer Service Executives to work with our client, a Financial Institution based in Haywards Heath.

As the Customer Service Executive, you will join an already well-established team. As part of the Customer Service Team, you will provide policy administration, sales, and customer support to ensure service and compliance standards are met and financial targets are achieved.

We are looking for candidates from a strong Customer Service background who have a passion to provide good customer service and want to work in a Customer lead role.

Salary £18,000 - £20,000 plus shift allowance of £1,500

Working Hours:

Shifts vary from 9 - 5:30, 9:30 - 6:30pm and 10:30 - 7pm with 1 Saturday per month 9-5:30pm - 37.5hrs per week, any Saturday worked means you get a day off during the week

Duties and responsibilities -

  • Confident and professional telephone skills and manner

  • Excellent communication in English, both written and verbal

  • Good listening skills: questioning, summarising and reflecting with empathy

  • Assertive and can influence positively to handle difficult conversations and gain acceptance

  • High accuracy, quality and attention to detail in documentation and record-keeping

  • Good level of numeracy

  • Works equally well alone and as part of a team

  • Remains focused on tasks and is not easily distracted

  • Remains calm and unflustered under pressure

  • Takes initiative and owns a problem until it is resolved

  • Plans prioritise and organises work and time effectively

  • Exercises good judgment and is prepared to make decisions

  • A quick learner who is not afraid to ask for help

  • Microsoft competency: Intermediate Word; Basic Excel and PowerPoint; Advanced Outlook

  • Proficient in use of company IT / information systems

  • Database inputting, maintenance and basic reporting

Key skills needed -

  • A keen interest in people and great customer service ideally from a working in customer services previously

  • Confident and professional telephone skills and manner

  • Excellent communication in English, both written and verbal

  • Assertive and can positively influence difficult conversations and gain acceptance

  • High accuracy, quality and attention to detail in documentation and record-keeping

  • Ability to keep customer data / personal data confidential

Education & Professional Qualifications

  • Good general education including GCSE English and Maths (grade A to C)

  • Ideally educated to A level standard or equivalent

Please note - the assessment day for this position will be Friday 19th July which you will need to attend if successfully shortlisted.
