Award winning firm with a genuine path to partnership is looking for an experienced Audit/Accounts Semi-Senior

This award winning and growing firm is seeking a motivated individual to join their experienced audit and accounts team. The role is split, working on both audits and statutory accounts. The team needs a part-qualified professional who will demonstrate an interest in supporting the overall business, have strong communication skills and the ability to analyse and interpret data for clients.

Variety in the role will increase with responsibility as you develop through your career. Over you will take on responsibility for larger clients under the supervision of more senior staff and Partners

In the longer term, there is scope within the role for you to gain experience of marketing the firm's services to their clients and potential clients.

Main Responsibilities

Preparation of statutory accounts (This will involve speaking to clients directly to obtain information to complete the job)

Preparation of year-end statutory accounts

Preparing company tax returns following review of statutory accounts.

Assisting on statutory audits by completing transactional testing and creating P&L schedules and progressing to balance sheet testing. Will involve discussing matters with audit senior and with client.

Acting in a professional manner to maintain and improve client relationship.

Agree time allocation for each assignment with the manager or partner (as appropriate) and accurately record your time worked.

Preparing income and expenditure accounts for some clients

Carrying out stocktakes for audit clients when requested.

Attending college and studying towards professional qualification.

Completing ICAEW training log in a timely manner.

Assisting business services and tax departments when there is available time.

Experience, Qualifications and Competences Required:

  • ACA/ACCA/CA part-qualified with strong results to date
  • You will have strong business focus and awareness of current affairs
  • Strong communication skills - verbal and written
  • An ability to work as part of a team
  • An ability to work to and meet deadlines
  • Client facing experience
  • Proficient in using Excel, Word and Microsoft Outlook
