12 MONTH FTC - £30K - LEADING LAW FIRM - ASSISTANT ACCOUNTANT

Position: Client Balances Cashier - FTC 12 months

Location: London

Role Summary

Reporting to the Compliance and Partnership Accountant, the Client Balances Cashier will assume a hands-on role in being responsible for investigating and clearing client balances in line with the Firms policy and SRA Rules. The CBC will have broad legal cashier experience and be capable of managing diverse duties within finance operations. Must have a good working knowledge of SRA Accounts rules.

Requirements

  • Experienced legal cashier, preferably on Client account
  • Strong knowledge of SRA Accounts rules.
  • Excellent IT skills (proficiency with Word, Outlook, Excel, etc).
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to persuade and influence.
  • Committed, enthusiastic and able to use initiative to drive the business forward.
  • Excellent written communication skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Highly organised with the proven ability to manage multiple priorities with ease.
  • Good numeracy skills is a plus.

Responsibilities include:

Financial Information

  • Oversee the issuance of all financial information.
  • Prepare and send a monthly client balances report to all the fee earners and Partners.
  • Prepare reports on any balances due to the Treasure or charity for review by the Compliance and Partnership Accountant
  • Identify and support fee earners and secretaries to clear residual balances.
  • Collaborating with the cashiering team to ensure payments are paid promptly.
