You should always remain pleasant, polite and honest. This means the relationships you develop will be genuine and built on trust. There may be a time when you need/meet certain people again in a different situation, so it is wise not to burn any bridges.
Take the time to remember something personal about an individual and use this in future conversation - you will show them you are engaging and value their thoughts.
I have worked in recruitment for two years and always within the finance field. My first recruitment role began setting up a finance desk from absolutely no presence in the market.
This was a real rest of perseverance and resilience, an achievement I am very proud of. I have also been awarded three qualifications: an NVQ Level 3 in Recruitment, a Certificate in Recruitment Practice and also an Apprenticeship in Recruitment.
I have worked with part-qualified and qualified candidates, interim and permanent - Across varying types of businesses, from blue chip organisations, to local SMEs. A background in sales has meant building and maintaining relationships is my favourite part of working in recruitment.
