I recruit professionals into legal roles, both in private practice firms and in house teams. I typically recruit paralegals and newly qualified solicitors looking to work in London.
The job market is so competitive so my advice would primarily be about knowing your CV and the market back to front. When going into an interview you should be able to predict any difficult question that you may get asked. Apart from that I would just tell people to be keen and engaging, if you do not look like you want to be in an interview then that will put employers off, even if you have the best CV in the world. At Morgan McKinley help is always at hand from your recruitment consultant, who will be your Career Ally before, during and long-after the interview. The resources are out there, so use them – preparation is everything.
I started my career at Morgan McKinley in June 2018.
I recently graduated from the University of Exeter where I studied Religious Studies and Theology. I enjoy developing professional relationships and putting my communication and relationship skills to good use, whilst increasing my knowledge of the legal industry.
