I recruit professionals into marketing, communications and business development support roles within asset management. I typically recruit positions in marketing, events, internal communications and PR, investment writing, RFP writing, and sales support.
Knowledge is power and will set you apart from the rest. It sounds obvious, but it is vitally important that you do your homework before an interview. Not only must you know your CV back-to-front, but you should also know the employer, their business and the market. There is a wealth of resources online (company websites, LinkedIn, Twitter etc.) to enable you to fully prepare for interview. Further help is always at hand from your recruitment consultant, who will be your Career Ally before, during and long-after the interview. The resources are out there, so use them – preparation is everything.
