In this Women in Tech special, Tasneem Aliewi, tech recruiter at Morgan McKinley, delves into four different STEM specialists' lives to find out about career successes and why more women should consider joining the industry.
Tasneem has created a four part series in this Women in Tech special, with the aim of dispelling myths and misconceptions, and more importantly raise awareness of the opportunities that exist in Technology.
In this third vlog filmed at the Parasol Unit foundation for Contemporary Art, she meets Deni Boncheva, Director of Digital Data at Bauer Media. Be sure to watch Deni's very honest interview to find out why she chose to leave university during her second year, and what's it like to have a successful career and a child.
Deni was an absolute pleasure to chat to and we hope you enjoy it.
We'd also like to thank everyone who attended our 'Bonus for Balance' event at the Parasol Unit where we discussed whether incentives can really drive gender equality. On the panel which was led by Tasneem, we had Paul Stanworth CEO of LGIM Capital, Dr. Ella Rabener Co-founder and CMO of Scalable Capital, and Alice Leguay Co-founder and COO of Emolument.
The panel touched upon many interesting topics such as Jayne Anne Gadhia's report findings, what the benefits are of setting targets and quotas to increase the number of women in businesses, and some of the other ways to improve the number of women in senior roles including mentoring, role models, and flexibility in the work place.
The good news for anyone that missed the event is that we're publishing a White Paper shortly. Please get in touch if you would like to request a copy or if you are part of the Women in Tech or Women in Leadership community and would like to share your story with Tasneem, please get in touch here.
