Here are a few things that tend to get on my nerves when looking through my LinkedIn news feed. I appreciate these are subject to opinion but I would love to hear everyone’s views, vote in the poll below.

Memes

I love the one where the baby is wearing a suit, and anything with Chuck Norris, but I am not so sure I need to see these every day. How long before LinkedIn becomes as prolific a place for procrastination as Facebook?

Maths questions

"Get this and you’re smarter than everyone!"

What does it mean if I don’t get it?

And what does it mean if I look at the answers below?

Inspirational quotes

“Life is like riding a bicycle, in order to keep your balance you must keep moving forward”, this is certainly not one of Einstein’s best quotes, or finest moments, and relativity was more impressive. This could easily have fallen under memes, because like memes anybody can place italics onto a picture but I thought it warranted its own bullet point because the same ones get circulated around Facebook. Where they belong.

Unsuitable profile pictures

This is obviously not referring to all profile pictures. Not everybody requires a corporate headshot but I do think that you should be playing to your audience. These days’ potential employers and clients will visit your LinkedIn profile before any meeting so it is probably best to leave the selfies off.

Which of these do you find most annoying in LinkedIn feeds?
