LONDON, Monday 17 June 2013 – Leading global recruiter, Morgan McKinley has announced two new senior positions: Julian Kulkarni has joined the company in the role of Global Marketing Director based in Dublin, and Andrea Webb has been promoted internally from her London-based role as HR Manager to the newly-created role of People Director with a global remit.
Julian joins Morgan McKinley from his position as Chief Marketing Officer with international trade show organiser, easyFairs.  During his eight years with the company, revenues rose from €4 million to €42 million and the company developed into a live events and digital business. Julian previously held the positions of Head of European Marketing at Ariba (formerly FreeMarkets); co-founder of JobPartners, a HR and recruitment applications service provider, that was acquired by Taleo / Oracle; as well as European Marketing Manager for big data software vendor SAS.
Julian will oversee Morgan McKinley’s entire Marketing and Communications function – a team of over 20 which supports the global business, and includes local marketing and go-to-market strategy, online marketing, social media, design and public relations and our extended marketing teams.
Andrea Webb takes up the role of People Director for Morgan McKinley following more than six years with the company as HR Manager focused on the UK and Asia Pacific operations.  Prior to this Andrea gained eight years’ HR experience within financial services in Scotiabank and CLS Group.  The new role of People Director takes Andrea’s focus from the complex range of day-to-day human resources management issues to overall leadership of Morgan McKinley’s three people functions: Talent Acquisition; Learning & Development and Human Resources.
Andrea will continue to be based in Morgan McKinley’s flagship London office and will be responsible for a global team of 12 with a remit that includes nearly 600 employees in multiple offices across ten countries.
Both roles are effective immediately and each will report to a member of Morgan McKinley’s Board of Directors.
Brian Murphy, Chief Commercial Officer, Morgan McKinley Group commented:

“Morgan McKinley’s Global Leadership Team is very pleased to have confirmed these two important appointments to support us in the delivery of our current strategy for the global business. Julian’s track record in international marketing makes him an ideal person to lead our Global Marketing Team to deliver results-focused marketing communications and increased brand penetration across all of our geographies.
“Andrea’s appointment is also very welcome and it is particularly pleasing to have an internal promotion to this key new role which brings together our ‘people functions’.  Morgan McKinley’s success to date is based on the knowledge and ability of our people.  Focused, strategic leadership in this area will enable us to offer an even more engaging work environment for our employees and will ultimately improve our attractiveness as an employer of choice in the recruitment market.”
