On Wednesday 14th November 2018, the tax team held their 7th quiz night. A light-hearted evening brought together attendees from various areas of the tax world.
What a night it was! Drama, excitement, excellence and cracker eating! Wednesday night saw Morgan McKinley host our annual tax pub quiz. A superb event with 22 client teams, consisting of 5/7 members, all exhibiting their varied general knowledge in order to battle it out for the coveted Tax Pub Quiz trophy!
Magnificently led by the ‘hosts with the mosts’ Will Hepworth and Archie Forbes Adam at The Draft House in Tower Hill, the teams raced through five rounds of questions covering topics including Geography & History, Arts & Entertainment, as well as Sport. The famous cracker eating competition at the round 3 midpoint saw a clear winner from the Tax Street Boys (The Reunion!) - genius name, and remarkable cracker consumption technique!
The evening was put on in aid of YoungMinds, Morgan McKinley’s selected 2018 corporate charity. Through a live raffle on the evening and generous donations from competitors, we were delighted to raise over £1,200 for a very worthy cause. Thank you once again to all those who donated.
Congratulations must go (again!!) to the PwC LRT team who retained the trophy after a lengthy battle, going head-to-head with Winning isn't Everything (RBS). Wooden spoons were received with great spirit from members of the Tequila Mockingbird team.
Thank you all for attending and making it such a fantastic event. I hope everyone had a great evening and we are already looking forward to next year!
