‘Life after Qualification’ is an informative event for newly qualified accountants looking to explore their career options. The evening is an opportunity to learn from our guest speakers, as well as recruitment consultants, on how best to capitalise on your qualification. Reaching qualification is a crucial career milestone, so let us help you discover your potential.
Our panel of select guest speakers from Practice, Industry and Financial Services will be sharing their journeys, and offering advice. Our speakers will detail how they capitalised on their qualifications to achieve success in their respective fields.
Our speakers include:
Rajiv Reddy - International Tax Specialist
Rajiv trained and qualified in his native New Zealand where he completed a graduate rotation programme across various business areas before ultimately specialising in tax. His broad expertise in his role with KPMG has facilitated his move across to the UK where he furthered his expertise in a number of interim In House financial services roles. This ultimately led to a permanent position with one of the worlds largest asset managers which has further refined his International Tax and business partnering expertise.
Matthew Baxter - Private Equity Assistant Manager at KPMG
Matt qualified at the National Audit Office where he carried out audit work on a number of high profile clients, including the Bank of England and the Royal Mint Trading Fund. Upon qualification, he moved from the NAO to a Big 4 accounting firm, securing a hybrid role between audit and valuations. Matt works within the Private Equity Group at KPMG, where he liaises with key stakeholders.
Mayank Kanani - Finance Controller at Neuberger Berman
Mayank completed his ACA qualification at financial services firm UBS, qualifying in 2016. He then stayed at UBS for two further years, developing his investment management expertise working as a Financial Controller. Mayank now works at Neuberger Berman, one of the largest asset management companies in the world.
More speakers to be announced.
As well as a Q&A session with the panel, there will be opportunity to speak with recruitment consultants from across Practice, Commerce & Industry and Financial Services.
There will also be plenty of opportunity to network, have some wine and nibbles, and meet some inspiring professionals! Feel free to bring along friends and colleagues who might also benefit from this event.
We look forward to seeing you on the 2nd!
