Breakfast Briefing - Stress Management

Kelly Hayman 04.02.2016

It is commonly acknowledged that stress is the most frequent cause of sickness absence in the workplace, which adds great cost to UK businesses each year. Most employers however are unsure how to manage it effectively and require support and advise to make sure it is provided effectively for both the business and the employee.

To help local businesses understand the signs within their team and minimise the risk of stress related claims, Morgan McKinley are working in conjunction with Morrisons Solicitors to offer an insight into this hot topic!

Please join us for our breakfast seminar on Tuesday 23rd February at 08.00 am at The Mandolay in Guildford where Jane Kavanagh and Emma McLoughlin of Morrisons Solicitor and Jane Cattermole of 'Minding your Business' will be running a short series on two key issues for businesses: promoting a healthy, motivated and stress free workforce and minimising the risks of stress related claims

The hosts:

Joanne Kavanagh is ranked individually as a Leader in Employment Law in Chambers Legal Directory 2015 and leads the employment team which is also ranked in Chambers 2015 and the Legal 500 Legal Directory 2014. Joanne previously worked as a HR manager in both public and private sectors giving a commercial edge to the advice she provides.

Emma is a Solicitor at Morrisons Solicitors and a member of the Employment Lawyers Association. She advises on a wide range of employment matters, including sickness absence management and has presented at a number of specialist employment law seminars and events.

Jane has been providing training and recruitment/retention services for 20 years to high profile, blue chip organisations as well as in the public and third sector. She combines a proactive, creative and professional approach with an empathetic and supportive manner.
