Morgan McKinleys 4th Annual Tax Pub Quiz took place on Thursday 16th October, with our best turn out yet.

With over 100 tax professionals squashed in to the Balls Brothers Pub in the City, the odd drink and plenty of grey matter being stretched, a good time was hopefully had by all.
There are a couple of things that we need to clear up from last night and they are as follows:

With a mind boggling 102.5 points, the winners were "PwC IMAPy". Well done to you and the £50 vouchers each for a meal out will be winging their way to you and your team shortly. The Shield (yes, we have a trophy now) will be on it’s way just as soon as we have it engraved.

In second place, and proving that winning isn’t everything by being incredibly good sports as always were "Winning Isn’t Everything!" They went home with champagne and a steely resolve to win their crown back next year.

In third place were “ENI which way but lose” who went home with some Lindt chocolates proving just how important to life in general the 'Cracker Challenge' is, as the 5 points gained by winning the challenge put them above 4th place.

Thank you to all those who did take part in the cracker challenge, of which we've got some great pictures:

As promised, we are happy to announce the winner of the Business Card drop, who wins an £80 Spa Voucher. The lucky winner pulled out of a hat* is Jim Stidham, from PwC. We'll be in touch shortly to give you your winnings!

Finally, as I mentioned last night, Sara is off in a few weeks to go and cycle from Vietnam to Cambodia. Last night we raised over £200 for the charity through the raffle. Thank you to everyone who bought tickets. If any of you would be kind enough to donate to her cause, please follow this link to her justgiving page. It is an amazing cause and a fantastic challenge so please give anything you can.

If you have any comments on the night please feel free to comment below.

Thank you all once again for coming – it was great to see so many of you and we hope you liked it enough to come back next year.
