The IT jobs & Technology recruitment landscape

The past year saw continued high levels of investment within the Technology sector throughout the UK. Despite the political climate, inbound investment tipped near record levels, placing London in the top 3 global cities for investments in Tech startups.

It was a brilliant year for permanent candidates to find a new job, on average they secured a 20.7% pay rise when changing position. This can be attributed to the chronic shortage of available talent particularly in emerging technologies and specialist fields such as Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, Cyber Security and Cloud.
