The Internal Audit & IT Audit/Risk recruitment landscape

2018 was an interesting year for Internal Audit and IT Audit/Risk recruitment. The volume of roles was 5.5% higher than the previous year. Crucially, we noticed a move away from traditional newly qualified AVP level hiring within core internal ‘business’ audit, with a much higher number of VP and director level positions available.

Certain banks continued moving resources to lower cost locations, elsewhere in the UK and across Europe - Edinburgh, Birmingham, Manchester, Sheffield, Dublin, Belfast, Warsaw and Budapest were all chosen cities. Naturally, this movement of resources resulted in a few redundancies in London.
