2018 was a buoyant year across the HR world, with lots of change happening in a wide range of industries. The changing political environment put businesses under pressure to improve their rates of retention and increased the importance of being able to attract the best staff available.
The HR market in the Home Counties was candidate driven throughout 2018. In the first few months we noted how companies had to move fast if they wanted to secure the top professionals, and that trend persisted for the rest of the year.
As part of compiling the 2019 Morgan McKinley salary guides, 2,400 active UK based professionals and employers were surveyed to gain an insight into their varying views of employment.
