Morgan McKinley makes promotion as contract professional jobs market in Crawley remains buoyant

Crawley, 4 October 2011 – Global professional recruiter Morgan McKinley has announced the promotion of Ruth Skelton to manager of its Finance and Business Support divisions in Crawley.

The divisions recruit for finance staff at all levels and business support professionals specialising in office support, HR, sales and marketing.

Ruth previously led the Finance team but her managerial remit was expanded after continuous growth within the Crawley office culminated in a record month in July 2011; the office posted its best monthly business performance results since pre-recession times. The professional jobs market in Crawley has been relatively buoyant in Q3 11, especially within the fast-paced temporary market in which demand for top talent sometimes outstrips supply. In particular, temporary job seekers with specialist knowledge of specific finance systems (e.g. SAP or Oracle) are in demand as many companies undertake system upgrades.

The large number of qualified- and senior-level jobs for professionals with commercial finance and business partnering requirements are coming onto the market. This is a positive indicator that companies are once again strengthening their platforms for growth and expansion.

Experienced business support professionals are also in short supply in the Home Counties. Currently, online marketing specialists are highly sought after, as companies look to grow their market share through online strategies, particularly through social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter.

With over ten years’ experience in recruitment, including four years with Morgan McKinley, Ruth is an expert in her field. She will be instrumental in driving Morgan McKinley’s ambitious growth plans, which include almost doubling the size of its Crawley team by 2015.

Ruth and her team are focused on long term relationship building and have organised several business seminars open to organisations in the local area. The next event in the series, “In Sickness and In Health”, will be held in association with Sherrards Employment Law and will focus on sickness and attendance issues in the workplace (further details at end of release).
