Project Manager – Finance, Disclosures Project (London)
Project Manager required by Finance Area of a major Investment Bank to Implement a global strategic platform for Disclosures reporting and analytics in order to eliminate the existing process. You will be educated to degree level and have significant Project Management experience within an Investment Bank.
Roles/Responsibilities
• Reporting directly to the Disclosures workstream lead, the candidate will be responsible for the following:
• The project management of key strategic and tactical financial accounting disclosures projects, but specifically Monolines, Banking Book Carry Value / Fair Value
• Leading (and partially forming) a team of business analysts at VP and AVP level
• Managing a virtual project team of 20+ resources in multiple locations and from multiple divisions
• All phases of the project lifecycle from inception to implementation
• Agreeing governance and ensuring its effectiveness over the life of the project. This includes running/chairing key operating committees
• Working closely with the Disclosures workstream lead and other leads in driving the overall strategy forward, providing near-term and long-term requirements and ensuring long-term strategic congruence of all projects under management.
Skills/Experience
• Significant Project Management experience within an Investment Bank
• Strong skills in the following areas: project management, analytics, management/leadership of direct resources and virtual teams, relationship/partnership (specifically client and stakeholder management), presentation, documentation.
Education/Qualifications
• Degree level (or equivalent)
• Qualified Accountant (or equivalent)
