Rates- Product Controller

A major investment bank has an opportunity for a product controller to join their rates team. This opportunity will allow, inter-action with the front office and exposure to senior management.

Role and responsibilities:

• Performing daily balance sheet/book reconciliations Involvement in projects to improve processes
• Working with valuation and accounting controls and operations to ensure accuracy and completeness of balances to the general ledger
• Review of due diligence to ensure booking of trades generate correct automated accounting
• Investigating p&l and BS variances in order to provide business informed commentary

Experience required for this role:

•  Qualified accountant or similar
• 1-2 years product control experience
• Demonstrated ability to implement change, particularly in improvement of controls
