Job Description
The Risk Management for Banking Consulting Expert will take on assignments at key project milestones, supports and mentors local teams, and assists in the requirement gathering process. While most projects will be about market risk, asset liability management (ALM), liquidity risk and funds transfer pricing (FTP), some projects may also focus on credit risk and the DDS only. As much as 60% or more of the effort for every risk project has to do with data integration. Additional responsibilities may include:
- Conduct risk management consulting for SAS Solutions on projects globally
- Support multiple projects on an on-going basis
- Mentor consultants, project managers and system integrators during risk management projects
- Assist in conducting workshops and meetings on risk management topics
- Assist project managers to plan for training
- Roll out deliverables through appropriate knowledge systems, Intranet, participation to workgroups, etc.
- Liaise with colleagues in all regions to agree on global needs.
Qualifications
Essential
- University degree, preferably in Physics or Computer Science
- Experience with credit and market risk management ALM, FTP and liquidity risk solutions as well as an understanding of credit risk
Additional
- A thorough knowledge of market and credit risk management, ALM, FTP and liquidity risk, including expert understanding of data required for risk and exposure analysis, limit setting and workflow issues encountered in enterprise wide risk environments
- Project management skills, with practical experience in formal project management methodologies preferred
- Ability to work well with people from diverse backgrounds e.g. technical and business
- Knowledge of the SAS system
- Advanced knowledge of MS Windows NT-based operating systems and Unix, client/server, OLAP and internet concepts and technologies desired but not required
- Ability to meet deadlines even when working on multiple projects
- Ability to work in a multinational environment.
- Extensive traveling is expected
- Excellent (English) writing, and communication skills
