Job Description

The Role: To co-ordinate the accurate collection, upkeep and storage of client and prospect data, to develop consistent and robust data usage processes that will support effective communications and marketing activity and produce management information on both the quality and quantity of client data for the senior management team.

  • Assist the marketing team in the scoping of proposed activity by providing guidance and support on the availability and integrity of customer data
  • Manage suppression lists, both internal and external, to ensure the integrity of campaign selections
  • To participate in delivery of the sales and marketing planfor the relevant business area
  • Provide reports, queries and counts to inform and improve the wider understanding of customer data throughout the business
  • Work with IT to co-ordinate data imports and exports to assist in the segmentation and personalisation of campaigns, ensuring that data is consistent and accurate
  • Provide support in maintaining the customer database, working closely with other relevant people in highlighting data integrity issues, assisting in data cleansing and testing of new data structures
  • Responsible for helping to ensure that the relevant business area is complying with the Data Protection Act
  • Work with the sales and marketing teams, CRM manager and third party agencies to improve the customer data selections & segmentation approaches, including analysis to improve future campaign activity
  • Positively contribute to the future development of administration and CRM systems to ensure that they can provide data that is fit for purpose
  • Work with the CRM manager and other relevant functions to develop data management processes and champion these throughout the business

Skills/Experience:

  • Good level of experience in the management of complex data
  • Ability to use and create complex queries, reports and data segmentation
  • Ability to interpret complex information and re-present in a user-friendly format
  • Experience of using SQL based queries within a CRM system
  • Ability to create and develop complex Crystal Reports
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
  • Excellent administrative and organisation skills
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of the Data Protection Act and its application in marketing
  • Experience of working with third party agencies on data analysis and segmentation projects
  • Ability to work with stakeholders across the business
