Technical Accountant

Job Description

A strong technical accountant (either Qualified or Qualified by Experience), is required for a 6 month contract with a global branded consumer company.

The ideal candidate must have solid accounting skills with some European and Supply Chain experience.

You will be responsible for the control and development of internal processes and computer, ensuring all products are set-up correctly, transportation costs accounting and recharging, intercompany recharges/reconciliations and FX analysis.

This role will ensure the company is fully compliant in all areas including VAT and Intrastat reporting. This role will also be responsible for the accuracy and integrity of the P&L and balance sheet and management reporting including providing support for forecasts and operating plans.

Qualifications:

• Qualified ACCA/CIMA or 10 yres QBE
• Minimum 5 years management experience
• Experience in high volume, cash based environment
• Proven track record of project and change management
• Supply Chain & Cross boarder trading
• Expertise in VAT, Intrastat reporting and triangulation

Knowledge and Skills Required:

• Oracle and Hyperion
• Srong Excel skills
• Good knowledge of financial and management reporting including US GAAP, IFRS
• Self motivated
• Strong Management Skills
• Proactive outlook on work
