Senior Financial Accountant

Job Description

The Financial Accountant is responsible for the preparation and delivery of consolidated and entity based fixed assets and statutory accounts information.

• The Financial Accountant role includes influencing across finance (eg treasury, tax,BSC, capital, airport finance, mgt reporting) and the broader business teams (eg co sec, legal, regulatory, commercial).
• It also includes working with the auditors and senior management when planning, preparing and finalising the information, analysis and accounts.

This role will require:

• Qualified accountant (first time passes), with some post qualification audit and accounting experience gained either in a similar technical financial accounting and consolidation role ;
• Exceptional results/delivery orientation displaying a proactive approach, positive and flexible attitude, ability to work as part of a team
• Detailed technical accounting knowledge ofIFRSand UK GAAP requirements with previous experience of working on FTSE250 or similar activities.
• Experience of researching, preparing and presenting technical information in written, numerical and verbal presentations with the confidence to articulate their opinions at a senior level
• Experience of working within and developing effective working relationships with a network of individuals across a large, complex and high profile organisation
• Ability to understand the bigger picture and awareness of wider commercial environment
