Job Description

Global investment bank seeks a project manager responsible for the design, specification and implementation of data management processes that are then used in the risk calculation process. You will act as Deputy Head of a team of five PM’s within Group Risk.

Key objectives of the global projects include providing the architecture and data flows required for the banks application of advanced Basel 2 calculation methodology for derivatives. You will align credit risk data sources and enable more frequent intra-month calculations to facilitate better capital management within the business. The role will also involve constant interaction with business unit heads.

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide project management support to the programme manager in relation to the overall deliverables.
  • End to end management of all activities/deliverables related to the specific workstream assigned to the project manager
  • Act as relationship manager to other stakeholders
  • Coordinate and communicate across multiple dimensions: different regions, different business areas, different products…

In order to qualify for this position, you must have the following: 

  • Strong analysis skills (Access, Toad, SQL…)
  • People management
  • Good product/credit risk knowledge (inc. Basel 2)
  • Exposure to finance disciplines
  • Project Management experience
  • Track record on delivering projects
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Organized and structured working approach
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Attention to detail
  • Reliable team player
