Job Description

A financial controller is needed to manage all aspects of finance and administration linked to a luxury hotel operations in Morocco.

 

 

Roles/Responsibilities
  • To manage in an efficient manner the finance & administrative department and all duties attached to this department.
  • To assist the General Manager and Heads of Department in the cost analysis of their respective department.
  • To control expenses and cash flow in order to ensure maximum profitability of the operations.
  • Ensure that all daily duties are fulfilled by accounting staff
  • Ensure that the procurement process is respected
  • Approval of purchase orders, validation of invoices and supplier payments.
  • Verification of income, rebates & entertainment checks
  • Analysis of food & beverage costs
  • Liaise with the payroll company, prepare all items necessary to establish payroll.
  • Verification of payroll and preparation of payments.
  • Month end closing
  • Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts
  • Review of P&L
  • Maintain FF&E register in collaboration with the external accounting cabinet
  • Preparation of monthly reporting
  • Perform monthly Profit & Loss meetings
  • Liaise with banks, suppliers, social security, lawyers, insurances, external accounting cabinet, local accountants, auditors and other administrations.
    Auditing and internal control
  • Preparation and follow up of  budget, forecast, cashflow
  • Liaise with head office regarding Intercompany account, maintain monthly reconciliation
  • Liaise with Front Office regarding payments received for guests
  • Assist accounting staff in their duties.
Skills/Experience
  • Must be fluent in French and English.
  • Very strong technical accounting skills with RELEVANT post qualification experience (Or Similar) in a medium business environment
  • Previous experience of managing small teams of staff.
  • Advanced Excel Skills
  • Intermediate Word Skills
Educations/Qualifications

Qualifed Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or similar.
