Banking Tax Specialist - London

An international bank operating within the capital markets, asset management, private client and property markets have a new vacancy for a tax advisor to join their tax team.  This position sits within the business, with a reporting line into group tax, providing meaningful and timely tax advice to the trading floor.
 

Sitting alongside another tax specialist, you will work to manage the tax environment and tax risk within capital markets.  The role will involve:

 Ensure UK entities within the capital markets business comply with their tax reporting and compliance obligations. 
 Advising on tax aspects of transactions
Advising on operational tax matters 
Assisting in reviewing Transfer Pricing policies and procedures and provide guidance on implementation and ongoing monitoring. 
Assist in identifying and managing tax risk within Capital Markets 
Assist in improving tax related processes and data recording 
Assist in increasing tax awareness and compliance across Capital Markets 
Ad hoc advisory work and projects

The Tax advisor will have experience of financial services/ banking, be a qualified accountant and have sufficient relevant experience, gained within practice or in house to perform this role.
