IFRS Conversion Project Manager

Publically Listed Media Organisation requires an IFRS specialist to lead the IFRS Conversion Project in Group Finance.
This role will manage the IFRS conversion project through to the delivery of the IFRS financial statements, including assessing the impact on the year end 2010 accounts.
You will ensure that both operational and corporate finance teams understand the IFRS reporting requirements. You will liaise with the auditors to ensure requirements are met.
• Manage the IFRS conversion project
• Setting timetables and meeting key milestones
• Assessing the impact of IFRS accounting on the Group
• Advising operational and corporate finance teams on how to best apply IFRS in respect to the 2010 year end- providing technical training sessions
• Document accounting policies under IFRS
• Assist Group finance in preparing 2009/2010 statutory accounts with comparatives under IFRS
• Restate budget and forecast financial results under IFRS
• Previous experience in driving an IFRS implementation in a PLC
• Excellent knowledge of technical accounting and reporting requirements under UK GAAP and IFRS
• Experience of management and financial reporting and consolidations
• Excellent Management/ Leadership skills and gaining buy in from existing team members
• Proven experience in implementing change and process improvements
• Qualified Accountant
