Senior Project Accountant

Working for an international organisation with large offices in Yeovil, Somerset, this is a highly commercial and varied role positioned as deputy to a senior Finance Manager.  You will be challenged to act as a lead financial interface to all relevant functions and expected to offer financial leadership and advice. 

-Application of financial strategy and policy to maximise chashow and performance

-Ensuring robus financial controls across relevant projects and contracts

-Contributing to the annual budget and quarterly forecasts

-Providing monthly contract reports including expenditure, risk and cashflow

-Producing financial information against contract milestones

-Deputising for Finance Manager as required

A suitable applicant would be a qualified accountant with experience within a large, complex organisation.  You will have had exposure to project / contract accounting and be familiar with terms such as contract milestones, project cost structure, contract expenditure etc.  You will also have a good working knowledge of a large ERP / MRP system.

CIMA / ACCA / ACA qualified

You will be naturally commercially minded and be used to taking the lead on business issues and drawing them to a successful conclusion.  You will be capable of building a profile for yourself within a large business and be keen to progress internally.
