Senior Diamonds/Jewellery Credit Officer

A global reaching Investment Bank is looking to hire a senior credit officer with exposure to Diamonds and Jewellery.

A newly formed and very niche group within the organisation has an opening for a credit specialist to come on board and develop an internal risk framework in order for the business to optimise returns on economic capital.  As part of your responsibilities, you will determine risk appetite and set facilities for the Diamonds and Jewellery group, in order that front line can secure more profitable returns over the long term.

There will be a lot of client interaction and you are expected to travel to global locations.  By partnering with the business to deliver strategic aspirations, you will become actively involved in Business strategy formulation, and the co-approval of Portfolio Standards that encapsulate the agreed strategy and industry developments.

In order to qualify for this position, you must have the following:

• Strong academic background
• Extensive experience in credit analysis, preferably, having had levels of authority to approve transactions
• Exposure to the Diamonds and Jewellery trade is a necessity, preferably with an existing client base
• Willingness to travel to EMEA regions
• Strong interpersonal skills
